Aguano is a possible extinct language of Peru. It is not listed in Kaufman (1994). Ruhlen (1987) says it's the same language as Chamicuro, but Chamicuro speakers say that the Aguano language was not the same as theirs, but rather that the Aguano people spoke Quechua (Wise 1987). Alternate spellings are Uguano, Aguanu, Awano; it has also been called Santa Crucino.
